Powered Peanut Butter!

Recommended Posts

My first time on the site but then again I am only 9 days post op...kinda feel like I have been in a class called Dyan 101... so much to tract and cell alarms going off..when to drink, when to stop, when to take a Vitamin. Never in 64 years have I devoted this much time to just me. LOL Perhaps what put me into this journey now?

Discovered a great NEW product that is low fat and low sugar... it is actually powered Peanut Butter... mixed with a bit of sugar free hot choc. mix I can now finally drink a Protein Shake that hides the Protein powder taste from my nose. Anyone else tried it?

If we are talking about PG2, yes I have it in chocolate and regular and do mix with my Protein, but then I like my protein. I buy powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury in all flavors except the cheese, as it has a smooth texture and not a chauk or gritty taste. PG2 has a great Peanut Butter flavor, and for those who love peanut butter it is a great substitute for that taste without the fat. I make smoothies using a little almond milk, PG2 chocolate or plain, chocolate, vanilla or unflavored protein and then add a half of a banana (which I slice into pieces and freeze) and ice cubes. Makes a great smoothie or if you add enough ice it can become a soft serve ice cream.

Where would a person find this PB2. Thinking I need some

Check your store in Peanut Butter isle, since not sure what area you live in and all stores are different but if you cant find it local Amazon has it or right from the makers site Bell Plantation

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
