NJDad 173 Posted November 27, 2013 With my weight loss, I realized that I need to buy new winter coats. The coats I have now are way too big in the tummy area. But I also noticed that it seems that my arms have shrunk in length because all the sleeves are too long on the older coats. I don't really think my arms have shrunk in length, I just think that the coats fitting more loosely means that sleeves are running down my arms further. It is one of the unexpected results of weight loss. I always bought tall clothes (I am 6'4" tall) and was starting to think companies were cheating out when it came to the lengths of the sleeves. I guess gaining that much weight just made the shirts and jackets I wore fit incorrectly. Has anyone else noticed this? Ron
m1aman 944 Posted November 27, 2013 I'm only 6'1" but I have noticed sleeves getting longer as well. Guess I carried more weight on my shoulders and upper body than it looked like.
Terry Poperszky 2,784 Posted November 27, 2013 Same here. I have to roll up the sleeves on my bathrobe now.
gowalking 10,790 Posted November 27, 2013 The ladies have similar experiences. At least I know I have. I had two pairs of 'workout' pants that at my heaviest ended just above my ankles. I kept them a long time since they were just for around the house and when I finally tossed them oh...around 60 lbs. down, they actually were almost dragging on the floor. They had a tie around the waist so the change in the length wasn't because they were sitting lower on me...I know it was just because the pants didn't have to stretch as much to cover my tummy/bottom/thighs.
