Yeah I know we're only supposed to post before and after pics to inspire people but we got dressed up for our thanksgiving dinner and I want to share those pics so I'm starting a thread :) (I mean, I could make up some BS reason but really the truth is I felt good in my dress and I want to share it. and i love my kids. and my husband looked great).

So feel free to add your "we're all dressed up" pics to this thread!

You look amazing, and that's a really pretty dress!

You guys look great. Really nice looking family.

Since you invited....here's me and missus butter.attachicon.gifimage.jpg

Yes I did invite! So glad you posted.

But you know, we need one pic in every one of the 15 ties you bought yourself. I don't think anyone cares what ELSE you choose to wear, as long as you wear the ties :P

GG -- You look so tiny! That dress is fantastic! Was this for the Brazilian Thanksgiving dinner? How'd that go?

Butter -- you also look amazing, and Mrs. Butter is adorable!

Oh it was a disaster food-wise :P Perfect company but I decided to try some bread, and two bites of bread and 1 bite of sausage later, I was quite sure I was going to hurl at the table. At that point, I realized I was done eating. I posted a pic of my before and after plate in the What are your plans for t'giving thread. It's a bit of a joke, like a little mouse nibbled on it!

My advice? Don't try something for the first time that you haven't had before otherwise you too, could be done in 3 bites.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
