BerryChic 26 Posted November 28, 2013 Almost 5 weeks out and I had regular Coke because nothing else would settle my stomach that day. I loaded a glass with crushed ice so that the soda went flat first- very important step! Then, I didn't actually drink it, but ate the Coke flavored ice with a spoon just like mom used to give us when we were sick as kids. It worked!

nancym90 5 Posted November 29, 2013 I'm 2 and 1/2 weeks out and I miss my soda. I miss my big gulp filled with 80% diet coke and the rest cherry coke. With a good amount of ice. My cousin actually said that diet coke stocks were down since my surgery. I think about my healing stomach and the acid bubbly soda hitting it and that seems to help my soda cravings. For now..... Hahaha 1 Newlife13 reacted to this
Mel1071 149 Posted November 29, 2013 My doctor wants us to be soda-free for six months. After that he says we could drink it again with no issues but, and I quote, "why would you want to?"
