LindsJ83 56 Posted November 27, 2013 Hey I'm also 4 days post op. I don't know if you have a Home Goods near you but my husband found some great sugar free syrups for me to try. They are called "Jordan's Skinny Syrups." He bought pumpkin Spice and Peppermint Mocha. Tonight for dinner I had a Lean shake in chocolate with 1tbsp of the Peppermint Mocha. It was SO delicious. I am so excited to have the pumpkin Spice for thanksgiving! Isopure is pretty good. Had the Blue Raspberry so far. I've heard that the grape is excellent. Twining's Purely Peppermint Decaf Tea is great at night. My nutritionist recommended throwing some crystal light into yogurt to give it some flavors. If you end up trying those syrups (which are about $4 each) you can even put them in SF pudding and give it a different flavor. I'm going to try it with the pumpkin spice and vanilla sf pudding.< /p> I tried yogurt last night for the first time. It was heavenly, truly. I ate very little but it went down better than anything I have tried so far. I like the Dannon Light 'n Fit Yogurt. It's 12g Protein in 5.3oz and I usually am able to get two "meals" out of it. Hang in there - I know what you mean about variety. I think about drinking Protein shakes for the next 10 days and I almost shudder. LOL - just gotta keep coming up with new tastes and I'll tell you - that Protein Shake I had tonight was EXCELLENT. I use Lactaid Fat Free milk with the shakes too, btw. deaddemmama 474 Posted November 27, 2013 Try vanilla Protein Powder, greek yogurt or lemon yogurt, milk or Water, and lemon extract. Blend and chill until foam is gone. Tastes like a lemon cupcake. Delicious! 2 Monykaperez1 and reinangel reacted to this
LindsJ83 56 Posted November 27, 2013 Monyka - The Dannon Lite n Fit is sweetened with Splenda so it is safe. You will find sugar in all yogurt (because of the milk) but it is a nominal amount that should not hurt your stomach. It's a no sugar added yogurt and that's the one you want! I actually think that I am able to digest the yogurt better than anything else that I've tried. It's almost soothing in a way if that makes sense? The vanilla is a safe bet to start with - no seeds, no fruit. I do believe though that there are some other flavors that do not have the seeds and fruit in them as well.
