*Amanda* 2 Posted November 26, 2013 Did anyone have a famous last meal where they indulged on their favourites before the started the preop diets? If so, what did you indulge in?
joatsaint 2,814 Posted November 26, 2013 I didn't have a food funeral. I was at my lowest point when I decided to have surgery and I hated everything about food and the control it had over my life. But I've read many accounts of people having food funerals. Some think that they need one last pig out to say goodbye to the foods they'll never be able to eat again, but the truth is most people can eat whatever they want once their new stomachs heal. It's just the quantity that's reduced. Globetrotter 1,340 Posted November 26, 2013 I did have a "farewell" dinner but it wasn't junk food or high volume, I just had my favorite thing in the world because I genuinely did not know if I would ever be able to have it again - bruschetta, on real sourdough, with garlic, fresh basil, and heirloom tomatoes!! 1 Kay__S reacted to this
ekmw 56 Posted November 26, 2013 I had a "goodbye to overeating" dinner with my mum, sister, and boyfriend. We all went out to Cheddar's. I also wanted to have spinach dip one last time, for a long while. xD
