Homosexual Liberal Atheists ~ What's UP with that?

To tell you the truth, one of my closest friends, gay, is a fabulous cook and a great host but keeps an absolutely filthy apartment. (You have to examine the cutlery before using it.)

Eww.

He wanted to invite my mum over and I told him that she had never been to the third world.

ROTFLMFAO!!! ;) I have been to the third world and for the most part their toilets are actually pretty clean. Of course, they throw their used toilet paper into the trash (or onto the floor behind the toilet if there's no trash can) because their septic systems can't handle it. I won't say what country lest there be natives of said country among us... :guess

It doesn't sound like you have been to India or Nepal or, if you have, you've been frequenting a better class of toilet than I have. :phanvan And if you have, I am sooooo envious!:cry

But we should visit the new lap banders first. They are the ones with the drugz.:heh:

Hopefully, that will be me very soon. <fingers crossed> My old doc's office actually put together a recap today of all my weights for the two years I saw him. It's going to the insurance company in the morning. It's not the full chart, but hopefully they'll accept it. Please say a prayer (light a candle, cut up a chicken - whatever it is you do) for me...

No, you're right there. But I will narrow it down to a continent for you - it was in South America. Oh what the hell - it was Chile. It's a very beautiful country, and Chilenos are overall the most friendly, open people I have ever met. They just have bad sewers... ;)

I'm from Chile and I'm proud of our sewers. Your radio show should be cancelled immediately. :heh:

Eddie! The next thing you're gonna tell me is that you don't care for Barbra Streisand. :heh: My bubble has been burst.

Green: If there were a way that we could stage a par-tay for that guest list of yours, I'll bet we could get some newbies to join us with their nice fresh meds. Maybe Eddie or Mark could score us some snazzy accommodations in Chile.

Well, I did listen to her a lot during my formative years. Do you think that's why I'm Gay?? If I'd only listened to the Osmonds instead...

Oh, dear. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have helped.

Are you sure? They were so wholesome...

Devana: Have I told you lately how jealous I am? Seriously it's great to read about your relationship with your sister. My sister and I were so close and so supportive of each other in every aspect of our lives. I miss her terribly. Count your blessings - although I know you do from your post!

BJean, I'm so sorry about your sister. How long has she been gone? I know I would miss mine terribly.

No, I'm not from Chile, just trying to stir up trouble. Slow news day, I guess. :biggrin1:

airwayman: No wonder you have a fondness for buying gifts. You obviously know where to shop. Upscale ladies lingerie, perhaps?

I could spend hours in Victoria Secret. Sometimes what you can't quite see is more exciting than seeing the body part naked. A see through frilly bra turns me on! Perfume, all that stuff, great potions to my eyes and nose.

Cooking - I can cook a frozen dog and make it taste good. I'm not one for following a recipe unless it's absolutely necessary. I just add and wing it until it tastes good. Helps that my wife will eat anything I cook and love it. She likes good food, sure, but she likes any food she doesn't have to cook. She cleans up. I hate that.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
