Day 5 Post Op, Still Very Sick , Need Help!

I know you guys will have ideas. This is day 5 and I feel awful! I still can only keep down clear fluids(about 16 oz per day) though my post op diet is full liquids. I can barely gag down my medicine. I am so weak and not thinking straight. I felt really good when I left the hospital but ever since it has been downhill.

I think you sound dehydrated. Can you drink more, or are you vomiting? I would call your doc or go to the emergency room if you can't or get in touch with him. Hope you feel better soon.

Are you in pain still? I agree with MichiganChic. Get thee to Emergency for IV fluids. You'll feel like a new person. But do call your doc (they must have a 24 hour service) and check back in and let us know, okay?

Yes in pain too! I called the doc yesterday and he said I could go in for some fluids. I decided to try to see what I could do yesterday. It doesn't help that my 2 of my prescriptions were not covered and I was waiting on my paycheck until yesterday. Now I have all the meds and we made a quick store run. I still think I might go in for the fluids today.
