bearman99 228 Posted November 23, 2013 31 days away from surgery and I decided to practice the no liquids with the meal, 30 min before. 30 min after. My fears are now higher than they were for failure. I had no idea how much I washed my food down when I ate. I suppose it is like anything else you get used to it once you have done it for some time. Does it get easier? 1 _imgood_ reacted to this
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted November 23, 2013 It absolutely does get easier. And the fact that you want to practice before hand and make this a habit shows me that you won't fail at it, you are going to do great 1 _imgood_ reacted to this
bobheist 85 Posted November 23, 2013 I agree -- it definitely gets easier and becomes second nature.
JeanZ_RN 378 Posted November 24, 2013 I wish I had practiced that before surgery. I'm still on liquids only, so I haven't faced implementation of it yet... but it worries me. I'm very reassured to know it will get easier.
