Surgery 11/5 and as of today I'm down 87.2 lbs. Only 2.9lbs away from onderland! woop! For exercise I go to group fitness classes and mix up cardio and strength. I haven't tried Yoga or Pilates yet. Really just working on the cardio but making sure I add some strength in which will help tighten up the skin. Plus muscle burns fat. This is my normal weekly schedule (each class is 60 minutes);

M - Flirty Girl Fitness (dancing)

T - Body Pump (strength)

W - Zumba

T - Kickboxing

F - Zumba

Saturday - Sculpt (strength) followed by Kickboxing. And then I collapse on Sunday. LOL

Hi November 2013 surgery group! I am so excited I had this surgery I am still in awe of my WLJ! My surgery date was 11-11-13 and I am down 83lbs. My husband had the RNY 11-11-13 as well same day right after me and he has lost 85lbs. I truly believe it has made our journey easier doing this together. I am so grateful to you all please keep me posted on your WLJ!

I had my surgery November 19th and have lost 85 but I am stalled I have weighed 182 for a month and can't seem to lose it I wanna lose 60 more pounds! I'm increasing Water and Protein and now doing water aerobics!

I hear you here! Had RNY a day before you... Lost 70 and now have weighed 184 for 5 weeks! Ugh... Need 24 more off! This is no longer a stall. My team says it is ok as they want it too slow way down as you get close to goal... I don't. Getting 100g of protein, 64 oz fluids, under 800 cal a day and under 40g carbs... Come on !!! Good luck to you also

At 6 month mark and have been at a stall for a month! Wait I lied shows I gained 2 pounds!? Hope this passes soon because I am only half way with the pounds I want to lose. Very frustrating, maybe the lack if my B12 shot being delayed a month because pharmacies around town could not get them due to back order.

Hi all..I had my surgery on 11-19-13 and I'm down 80 lbs! I want to lose another 85 but it's going slowly lately:( I walk over a mile about 4 days a week and I do a little bit of the elliptical but it's really hard for me to do the elliptical! I'm right around 1000 calories a day..I see a nutritionist monthly to keep me on track as well..hopefully the scale starts moving again!

Hey! I had my surgery on 11/5 and am down exactly 99lbs...that 1lb is going to be a stinker! When I got into "onederland" was an awesome milestone, now this 100lb mark will be the next!! Congrats to every one else on the weight loss! I am averaging 2-2.5lbs a week and when I stall I find its because I'm not getting enough calories or Protein so once I increase those it picks right back up. I do workout 60 minutes a day 6 days a week and eat about 800-1000 calories per day. I miss chocolate something fierce!!

Thank you Ladies for inspiring me! I will be sure to get my Protein in... After reading your replies I realized a few days here and there not meeting my Protein goals may be just the thing that has put me in this stall. I will definitely apply your advice and hopefully get back on track. I have lost about 85 pounds but I am only half way there actually not half yet because I want to lose another 100 pounds.

Thank you again for your words of encouragement! We will succeeded!

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
