pokerzombie 0 Posted November 22, 2013 Hello, I am 4 days post op and am still in a lot of pain. I am taking the liquid pain meds which helps, but the pain is excruciating especially when trying to get out of bed. I have been walking which helps the healing process, but since I had a thick stomach wall full of fat, it made the surgery challenging for my surgeon. I am having difficulty consuming the 60 grams of Protein, so far the most I have consumed is 23 grams. Any advice on getting the 60 grams of protein needed on this liquid stage? thinndskies 52 Posted November 22, 2013 When I was at 4 days out I was doing good to get 40 - 50 grams of Protein per day. I drank 2, 8 oz unjury Protein shakes at 23 grams of Protein each and at least 1/2 of 1 ready to drink Isopure Zero Carb Drink with 40 grams of protein for 20 oz. In order to do that I had to constantly drink any time I wasn't sleeping. Find some Protein Drink you like to drink and sip it. I don't understand why you have to have 20 grams of protein in 4 oz. You need to drink fluids to stay hydrated. More complications are caused by dehydration in the first two weeks than anything else. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
