So much nice having a smooth line rather than seeing the bulge of loose skin at my waistline! 1 crowsnestmama reacted to this
scarlet333 386 Posted December 23, 2013 As someone who basically lived in Lane Bryant, it is exhilarating and frightening to realize I can and have a right to walk into any small boutique and find clothes for myself! Experimenting with stores I never shopped in before like Black and White. Just checked out that 6pm website and thought it looked promising. I am also liking the Jennifer Lopez collection at Kohls. 3 krwest001sleeve, Bombs and MichiganChic reacted to this

It is just thrilling to be able to do this. When I was losing and before I knew for sure I could go in stores like WHBM, JCrew, etc., and actually purchase something, I used to send my size 8 teenage daughter in to check the sizes and see if I could go in! Now when I go in, people actually wait on me!

So much nice having a smooth line rather than seeing the bulge of loose skin at my waistline! I want to just get a full supply of highwaist (up to my bra) briefs, spanks or an off brand. That way I don't have to worry about it! Just like Dolly Parton in Steel Magnolias!! hahaha 1 Susysleever reacted to this

MichiganChic 3,262 Posted February 8, 2014 Just wanted to stop back by and mention again how much I enjoy shopping now I still have to be careful not to let myself go nuts, but I could! I now watch the sales online and in the store for my favorite stores. I think White House Black Market has come to the top as the absolute favorite, especially for work clothes. They are mostly fitted, have a lot of peplums, which tend to look best on me. I use coupons codes online, and I'm a "black book" member (aka spent a lot) so I get free shipping and an additional 5% off. I went in there yesterday to check the sale racks, and this guys was helping me. He filled the dressing room with clothes in different combinations, and it was a lot of fun just trying all the looks on. I still only bought a couple of sale items, but I really did enjoy it....though I had to resist a couple of the full price newer items. So there is the sport in shopping. I'll dog the stores and watch online till that stuff's on sale and get it then. Has anyone else noticed that size 10s and 12s are NOT that easy to come by? I read that they make fewer of them. So when it comes to sale shopping, you need to be quick because mediums and 10s are the first to go!
ladyd728 106 Posted February 8, 2014 I was told by my hubby that I can shop anywhere I want now..He told me that when I bought a size large leather jacket yesterday and it fit like it was made for me.... I stared at him and felt a panic well up inside of my chest and stomach....I have been shopping at Pennington's for a life time..Always felt safe there...Paid dearly for the clothes and rarely liked them...But that was all there was....Now the woman who hates shopping can shop anywhere...Oh no....... What am I to do!!!??? Go shopping and have fun.

Fallenangel2904 494 Posted February 18, 2014 I'm really excited to be able to shop at Victoria's Secret. I've always wanted to wear their PINK hoodies and yoga pants and yes their bras. I'm not sure if I'm there yet. I've lost 107lbs so far- still have a ways to go. BUT I am finally fitting into Old Navy clothes in the stores. Their XXL used to fit me okay but now they're too big and I'm actually wearing their XL or even some L! That is drippy for me considering I used to be a size 26/28 and wear a 4X (all from online since they don't have plus sizes in the stores). I'm still wrapping my mind around going into 'normal' stores and it being okay to try on straight sizes. I feel like someone is going to stare and me like 'why is she in here? She can't fit these clothes!' Still. It's a very mental thing to get over. 2 readyanxiousscared and CrazyJaney reacted to this
