Hello, I've been looking for a forum that I could chat with others going through this. I have several emotions over all of this...fear, excitement, trepidation, worry, impatient, I can't even name the others. My surgery date is December 16th 2013. Luckily that means that I get to have Thanksgiving without fear as my pre-op diet would begin on the 2nd. Due to Thanksgiving though, I think my pre-op diet will have to begin a bit early - the day after Thanksgiving. While I never binge on Thanksgiving and I don't like eating until I'm full (which will help keep me from getting sick) I still think that starting the next day will be like playing things safe!

Anyone else going to have surgery in December? any good tips for handling the temptations during the pre-op diet phase? I cancelled attendance at two cookie-swap parties because I figured that was insane temptation during that time.
