Craving Pizza? Low Carb Flatout Pizza

Recommended Posts

Do you crisp then up first like with the flatout?

I haven't but I am sure you can. They are so thin and I cook them on pizza stone that is piping hot so it's crispy enough for me.

Sounds so good! Can't wait until I get to a stage where I can try it. ;) I always used to make "Tortilla Pizzas" with low carb or low fat tortillas. I just put the tortilla on a cookie sheet or pizza sheet and added a little sauce, sprinkle of cheese and toppings and put it in the over until crispy and bubbly. Sounds very similar and with small tortillas you can make individual pizzas for everyone in your family. ;)

when I crave pizza, one of the best things I have learned to do is make the crust out of mozerella. You put a layer of mozerella on the bottom of a hot pan and when all the holes are filled in, you add your toppings and continue cooking for a minute or so. It's messy, but low carb and oh so good.

You can also look up recipes for meatzza where the "crust" is made of meat! Some non-low carbers (just meat lovers) tried it and loved it!
