Site With Low Carb, High Protein Recipes

Recommended Posts

Even though I'm sleeved, glad to find this sub-forum of low-carb eaters. My husband and I were sleeved together and we're following low carb as well.

I wanted to share my blog site which has lots of low-carb, high Protein, largely paleo and largely gluten-free recipes. They're easy, many require very little skill or time to cook and I try to mix up the types of cuisine. I also have lots of pressure cooker and crock-pot recipes. If you are on full liquids I have some high protein Soups for those who are sick of sweet Protein shakes, as we were.

I do NOT make money off this site, I just do it for fun and to help others with WLS who are not comfortable with cooking. I hope you'll visit or subscribe, and get some ideas to try out.

If any of you would like to "guest blog" one of your favorite recipes, I'd love to include those.

The site is www.sleevers.wordpress.com

Enjoy!

I'm glad! What with real life interfering with fun, I tend to post more recipes on the weekend. this weekend, I've posted Green Chile Pork Stew made in a crockpot, Cranberry BBQ meatballs, and Low Carb Flatout pizza.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
