RunningA5K 645 Posted January 5, 2014 I am 6 days post off from surgery 12/30/2013 HW 197 SW 186 CW 182 Is this normal to have lost so little? I hate to give the cliche that everyone is different, but what I can say is to remember that you were pumped full of air and fluids while you were in the hospital, so you probably have lost more than you think. I know I was told to not weigh myself when I got home from the hospital because I wouldn't like what I saw...of course I jumped right on the scale when I got home and was up 5 or 6 pounds from my weight when they weighed me the morning of surgery. Just keep following the plan, and you'll see those pounds go away.

mscognac504 137 Posted January 6, 2014 I am 6 days post off from surgery 12/30/2013 HW 197 SW 186 CW 182 Is this normal to have lost so little? Everyone's body is different I've heard where some people have gained after surgery. Remember that they do pump a lot of fluids in you during surgery. Take your measurements because you could be losing inches. Hang in there 2 RunningA5K and Jerzygurl reacted to this
Meltzy 11 Posted January 6, 2014 Hi all! Dec 9 sleever here, and thanks to the lovely weather up here in Canada am freezing my ta-tas off!! Supposed to be -30 C tonight with wind chill of -46 (-22/-50F) brrrr! On to the dreaded stats: HW 257 SW 253 CW 233 GW 130 (I'm only 5'3") Been in a darn stall for the last week grrr My Dr doesn't do a pre op diet, says ppl are healthier for the surgery without it. Was I happy to hear that? Hell ya! Had a hard enough time on liquid post op can't imagine pre op. Anyway love lurking around and reading all of your posts, get a lot of laughs! Good luck everyone! Welcome Meltzy! I'm packing my stuff up and coming up north to visit you! Tonight's low here in freeeeeeeeezing Minnesota is supposed to be 32 below (actual temperature) with wind chills of up to 60 below! You're having a heatwave compared to us! Thanks for joining the group! I have you down and ready to roll on the spreadsheet! Thanks! Nice to be here lol. We've warmed up to a balmy -19C this morning, have had the car block heater plugged in so should start up ok! On to business: today is my 4 wk weigh in and happy to say the scale is moving again!!! HW 257 SW 253 CW 230 GW 130 Only 100# to go, no problem lol Happy Monday everyone! Not sure if it's relevant but I have been able to make my Protein goals finally and now the scale is moving again? Hmmm interesting... 1 RunningA5K reacted to this
sandisleeve 563 Posted January 6, 2014 I'm 25 days out..... HW in 2013: 260 (Hw ever in 2009: 293) SW: about 236 CW as of this morning: 210.4 (I'm 5'7") Ultimate maintenance goal: 165-170 Like many others I'm Happy to be losing just wish I had more energy and could tolerate more real foods, I'm scared everything will hurt my hernia repair. I tried thinned oatmeal and it felt like rocks in my chest, so heavy. Even Water and tea is still a challenge. I have had to take additional time off work because of this but hoping I'm back to normal soon. I've been battling Constipation but have had Some relief from it since last night although not so sure I'm totally out of the woods. 1 RunningA5K reacted to this
