tmstaves 5 Posted November 16, 2013 I'm go in for the surgery dec 4th and they have yet to do any testing such as nlood work upper gi, ekg, sleep study. Is it normal? I'm less than 3 weeks out. The 20th I strt the liquid diet. I just would have thought all that would've been done by now.
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted November 16, 2013 All I has to have was an EKG and blood work the week before but call Monday and make sure something hasn't been overlooked. You may not need anything but if you do, yes, it should already be done! Hate to get to the last second and have someone say 'oh whoops, we forgot'... Good luck!!! This coming Monday I have my EKG, Chest x-ray and lab work, and then my final pre-op appointment with the surgeon's office is next Friday. It's a 2 hour appointment - 1 hour with the surgeon's nurse, and the second hour with the dietician. You might not need all of the other tests that many people here have to have, but the surgeon's office should keep you on schedule with the necessary testing. I agree with SoccerMomma, I would just give them a call on Monday just to be sure! 1 CindyGirl reacted to this
