DirtyHarriett 94 Posted November 14, 2013 I am pleased to report all went well. I have been walking laps and feeling remarkably well. Hurt like crazy when I woke up but the pain meds kicked in. All good since. Serious recommendation: INSIST ON NAUSEA MEDS! throughout the first day at least. Guy in room next to me sounds like he was not proactive and I am sitting here feeling great empathy fir him. Best of luck to you all!! 3 BlessedBeyondMeasure2012, MississippiQueen and onedaycloser reacted to this
onedaycloser 136 Posted November 14, 2013 Glad to hear all is well. I've moved up on my date to Dec 2nd...good advice on nausea meds! Keep up the good work, I've heard walking is the key!
Guest Sleeved&NotLovinIt Posted November 15, 2013 Nausea meds MADE me immediately nauseated so I refused to take any more of them. I felt no surgery pain yet my roommate had pains that were an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. It never ceases to amaze me how totally different we all are. Walking is the key after surgery and you can ALSO take Maalox Advanced or Mylanta Classic (cherry flavor) chewables. On the Mylanta, it says simethicone on the front of the box. It was recommended by my doctor to start taking these right away once I got home from the hospital. Different strokes for different folks, I'd say.
