Sydney Susan 333 Posted November 24, 2013 Up the arse!!!! Ewwww! That's a very long way... with a very big stapler. Although the post operative pain "down there" would at least take your mind off your incisions. 1 sophiepants reacted to this

SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted November 24, 2013 What do you mean "that far..."? Surely you mean "at all"!!!! ROFLMAO...touché!!!! I do indeed mean not at all but oh how that rumor could improve my dating life. 3 hayleylamas, sophiepants and Butterthebean reacted to this
sophiepants 489 Posted November 24, 2013 I'm thinking there was just a misunderstanding here. If the staples fell into the digestive track to be pooped, they had to be on the inside of the stomach....but if they were, how did he get the stapler in there? Or out again? This this!! See I'm confused on how she thinks it is on the inside. IDK.

Sydney Susan 333 Posted November 24, 2013 I'm actually a POM. Been here for 26 years though, so I guess I qualify. I too come from "up top"... born in Basildon, emigrated 44 years ago (practically to the day), have such a Qld strine that no end of $$$ has been unable to rid me of it! Even if I wanted to unclaim my Aussie-ness, first time I open my mouth they claim me!
Hidden from view 159 Posted November 24, 2013 I've still got my pommy accent, as has one of my sons (he was 7 when we came here). But the other two are very Kiwi. All married to Kiwis now, and four Kiwi grandchildren. I LOVE Australia - been there heaps of times. My favourite place in all the world is Port Douglas, followed in close second by Maroochidor. Love shopping in Sydney - oh! the QVB. Might go clothes shopping there when I'm thin! Although my budget is more Paddy's Market!

NMJG 1,266 Posted November 24, 2013 My surgeon told me that the sleeve is the worst way to go. She is Sacramento's Too Bariatric Surgeon and has been featured in Sacramento Magazine many times. Dr. Machado. She says that she does not even like or suggest doing the sleeve. She says, "why would I want half of my stomach cut out and then have a hundred staples going down the side of it!?" She says that it's the riskiest of all wight loss surgeries because of the amount of tissue you are compromising . The risk of infection and spillage goes up dramatically because again, there is more manipulated tissue involved.. I personally would do the band over the sleeve any day. My surgeon, Dr. Acosta in El Paso (center of excellence) did the band for years and now won't do them, only sleeve and RNY. OP, just do your research on the % of issues with each procedures and the lifestyle afterwards to see if it makes sense for you. Good luck. 1 Butterthebean reacted to this
