Georgia band girl 2 Posted November 13, 2013 I had surgery 10/24 and am doing great except for the pain in my left shoulder. I have read where others are experiencing the same problem with a nerve that runs across the abdomen and up the left side. Have you found anything that helps relieve the pain? SandyM 1,956 Posted November 13, 2013 This far out, I'm surprised that you're still having gas pains. Just curious, have you had your gallbladder checked? Gallbladder Will cause a referred pain in the shoulder.
Bandista 7,466 Posted November 13, 2013 I've had mild left shoulder pain intermittently since banding eight days ago. Ditto on ice packs. And walking. The walking seems to help everything. I can re activate the pain in bed by rolling over -- I usually sleep on my left side. I hope it goes away for you soon! 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
Georgia band girl 2 Posted November 18, 2013 Thanks for all the suggestions. Yes, I had my gallbladder removed two years back. The pain is better and my Doctor phoned in a mild pain reliever so between that, walking, and ice packs, I'm feeling much better! First fill Thursday, 11/21. Have enjoyed eating real food for a week and still losing weight. Hope the fill/adjustment doesn't throw me back to chicken broth
