I'm 6 weeks post op & have been having SHARP pains in my left side/area for days! When I laugh & certain movements.. I had the initial prolonged discomfort on my left side, which is normal. That stopped a few weeks ago.. This is new & I just want to know if anyone has had this and what was the reason?!?

Call your doctor! It could be gallbladder.

Your gallbladder in on your right side, not the left. But..... I'm 95% sure the appendix is lower left abdomen. Good luck!!

Appendix is on the lower right. Female problems perhaps? Constipation? Call your surgeon.

Is it close to an incision? I had excruciating pain and it ended up just being a tight stitch (and me overdoing myself with walking too much)... It took a few days of rest then self resolved.

Saw the dr. yesterday, & he seems to think it's just a suture I'm feeling as it's dissolving. I asked him what would cause the sharp pains, & he said the muscles responding to it. He didn't "feel" a hernia or seem concerned.. So hoping it goes away soon! Thanks for y'all's thoughts!!
