MetroDetroitChic 86 Posted November 12, 2013 What is your heart beat while working out? I know that during interval training, I can easily get to 180+bpm. One of my friends told me this was abnormally high and I should never exceed 170. Is she right? I am working hard at 180+. I don't feel like I am going to pass out and die, but I do feel like i am working hard. Revving up my heart rate and working out hard is the one thing that makes the endorphins kick in and makes me feel great. Is this at all normal? Anyone have any advice from their doctors or exercise physiologists? ...Thank you!

luckyme2g 35 Posted November 13, 2013 Isn't your max calculated by 190- age? Maybe it is a different equation for makes vs. Females. The exercise physiologist I saw told me to try for around 140-155 sustained and 179 max.
