vegas0610 8 Posted November 12, 2013 Has anybody eaten popcorn since having lap band? I was just wondering because we were going to go to the movies and that is one of the best parts. I just didn't know if anybody had trouble with it.

I would try one and chew chew chew? 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted November 12, 2013 I eat popcorn a lot without a problem. I keep a box of those 100 calorie mini bags in the pantry for low calorie snacking. I love it. 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and mrsto reacted to this
mrsto 2,925 Posted November 12, 2013 I am strung out on popcorn; one of my favorite snack foods. I have it at least once a week without issue. I eat it at the movies too, but I know that popcorn tends to be caloric suicide. But I indulge anyway, and account for it. If I'm not sharing with my husband, I'll get a child's/junior size bag. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted November 12, 2013 yes, i eat those 100 cal packets easy to take into movies (and i keep a couple in my drawer at work)alot of salt but not too bad to have every once in a while...remember, we are not on a diet....eat what we like but make better choices and enjoy (eating)..without over thinking it.. 1 mrsto reacted to this
lisacaron 5,075 Posted November 12, 2013 I was worried about the popcorn too, but I went to the movies with the hubby and my nieces and I tried it out and it was good. Didn't make me feel stuck or sick after and I shared a small bag with the girls. I love popcorn but it never really loved me back. I used to have issues with it before the band...and thankfully since my digestion has actually improved with the band/plication surgery having some popcorn without residual pain was GREAT! 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and vegas0610 reacted to this

I was told that it is a no go and I am prepared to give it up if I have to but if, after I settle into my band and can handle it I will be delighted. 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and Irishflower79 reacted to this

Lol darn Christina! Well I hope we can both eventually have our beloved popcorn again soon!
