Gossip About The New Neighbors

Recommended Posts

So has anyone found where the new stuff is? All I can see is 'stuff with no replies' & 'trending' and none of that seems new...

I've been using the button at the very top of the page on the right-hand side that says "New content". It seems to be current.

You must be on the main site?

Because on the app it's a cacophony of banders sleevers and bypassers colliding into one massive cluster fuck under current threads.. :P

Not sure if this helps anyone but I found that if I go on the main site and click on new content (all the lap band new content comes up) but on the right it says "filter by forums." When I clicked on that, I was able to uncheck the lap band forums and click only the sleeve forums that I wanted to follow. Once I did that, it was consistent on my iPad, with new content only showing the sleeve forums that I selected!

Hope that helps someone!

I'm sorry Tara I see how that sounds.

I've also read a few other threads and they are helpful, supportive and caring. We are all in this together in one way or another. I for one was shocked to see that kina of overpowering person just be down right rude to her fellow Banders. I mean I can understand her point but it was gone about all wrong. I think a fight may have been what she was looking for. UGH

Anyway Hello welcome to the "sleeve" forms :)

Thanks. This is just a general forum though right? I'm on my phone and can't tell a thing.

As for me, I just wish for everyone to be successful and healthy. I will admit I read all the "ugly" stuff for entertainment but I refrain from joining in. I feel like most that were on the LBT site are the same as me. But if course there's always a few...,

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
