Ericm 0 Posted November 11, 2013 I'm newly sleeved 11/5.. I'm dreaming about food that I'm not even crazy about. ..When does it stop? How can I stop it?
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted November 11, 2013 That's pretty normal. I did it right after surgery and I had one just the other night (just about 5 months out). Sadly, I don't think there's a reliable way to control your dreams. Just be happy that your food urges are getting expressed and nourished in dreams and not in the physical world, I guess. clk 3,519 Posted November 12, 2013 You're still on a liquid diet, right? I wasn't even hungry but wanted to chew food more than anything. As soon as you realize you're uncomfortably stuffed on just a few bites of soft foods you'll find food isn't as exciting as you remember. ~Cheri
Fluffnomore 1,235 Posted November 12, 2013 I had a dream the other night that I was at dinner with a bunch of friends and family and started drinking wine, knowing I shouldn't but essentially saying, "Forget it." I was really relieved when I woke up and realized it was a dream.
LoryLosesXS 154 Posted November 12, 2013 You may want to journal or read some sort of devotion, even meditate/ pray before you go to bed. We can prepare our minds for a restful sleep. Do your best to not watch food commercials before going to bed. If you're daydreaming....well you're fully in control of what you choose to focus on. I'm 6 weeks out this week and yesterday was a hungry day for me. I was hungry every hour it seemed. I made the best choices I could and I got through it. Take control and remember....what you focus on expands. Best wishes! 1 jennb0413 reacted to this

I have a terrible burning feeling, and feels like elephants on my chest. Just after a few bites. Thanks!
clk 3,519 Posted November 12, 2013 Has anyone experienced pain in throat to stomach when trying to eat pureed foods? I have a terrible burning feeling, and feels like elephants on my chest. Just after a few bites. Thanks! Are you on a PPI like Prilosec or Nexium? Sounds like acid. If you're not on one, you should be. If you are on one and it's Prevacid, that particular PPI is in a different category and doesn't work for a lot of folks. If you are on one and it's not working, call your doc. And of course if you feel pain stop what you're doing. Pain and discomfort mean something isn't right - until you're sure what it is, you need to be careful. ~Cheri
