No View All Selection - Bring It Back

Recommended Posts

Things are very difficult to find. I used to be able to just pop in and see the trending topics on the right and then hit View All and scan most recent topics. Now it seems as though I have to go into each subtopic group and scan through the posts in there. I don't like this. I like to read post from all different subgroups. For example I am post op but like to read pre op and give advice if possible. You get the idea.

This is my main complaint. I want more recent topics and there's a whole empty sidebar available

How did the post count quadruple x's 10? At first I thought my lapband posts combined with my sleeve posts, but I notice some people are in the 20,000!

Hope the View All Recent Topics comes back soon.

Sometimes I only have a few minutes here and there to check the site and find myself not popping on very much since the update.

We definitely will be bringing all of this back +++

Is there a way to see current post for just gastric bypass? I like to look at current and the post I've participated in. When I look at current it's a little frustrating to dig thru all the lb and sleeve post to see the gb post. Thank you!

Are you referring to the New Content link found in the top Navigation bar or are you referring to the 10 most recent topics that were always updated in the right side bar of the site ?

We're tweaking the sidebar contents over the next 24-48 hours and you should see a vast improvement in that area.

Yes, absolutely! You have two options:

1) Change the surgery type in your patient profile. This will set New Content to only display content based on the surgery selected.

2) Visit New Content and you'll see the last option in the right side bar under Other called "Filter by forum." Click that link and select the forum(s) you'd like to display in New Content.

We plan on beefing this feature up over the next few days where you'll be able to set your settings to only display content relating to your specific surgery across the entire site.

I see View All under Recent status updates but not under Recent Topics yet.

Will that be back soon?

I don't believe this was ever a feature.....are you referring to New Content ?

Sorry just seeing this. Haven't been on much lately as I'm not able to see what I want to see as quickly as before.

The New Content is not what I was referring to but will try to use that option for the future.

Old dog, new tricks ya know?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
