Did Your Feet Lose Too?

Recommended Posts

For folks who are at or near goal - did your feet get smaller? I have gained a shoe size along with the weight. Will my feet go back to their normal size or should I just get used to having bigger feet?

Lost a 1/2 size, had to ditch all my wide widths & also had to tie all my sneakers much tighter!

My feet was the first place I lost weight! I lost a lot in my face, my breasts, and my waste. Of course my hips and thighs will be the last to give it up.

Just recently I've noticed a little melting away in those spots, too!

Before surgery, I went out and bought some really good athletic shoes - to the tune of $149. Now they're too big. I'm wearing them with thicker socks until I lose this last 19 pounds. Then I will buy new ones, along with new bras, get my wedding rings sized, etc.

YES - feet lose, too. I've lost & gained large amounts of weight so many times, and each time had to replace my shoes.

I wish my feet shrunk 4 sizes but the didn't. The width is smaller but I still wear a size 10 wide. Some 10b's fit and I can get into some 9.5 but not all. I just don't need a 10www any more so that's a good thing.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
