reshiapooh96 31 Posted November 7, 2013 Hello Converters, I asked the question of weather or not my band will still be full (as it is now) or will the Fluid be taken out before having the band removed. I asked this question over the phone when I called the surgeons office about another matter. The assistant put me on hold and then came back and said "THEY SAID NO, THEY'LL JUST CUT IT OUT". She laughed and said "THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING". I thought it was a logical question but I felt dumb for asking. So is the real answer FILLED or UNFILLED? Has anyone been told weather your band would be filled or unfilled before surgery? I would love to know. Thanks!
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted November 7, 2013 If you're not having problems there's no reason to unfill...I was prolapsed so totally empty. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted November 7, 2013 Let me add for the actual surgery-removal, it will be unfilled, but they can do that in surgery...my first response was while preparing for surgery. Sorry! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight
reshiapooh96 31 Posted November 11, 2013 That's OK Soccermomma73, I was thinking after posting that, that I will be having an endoscopy done before surgery is scheduled, and I'm pretty sure it would be unfilled before having that procedure done.
