WorkItWorkIt 39 Posted November 4, 2013 All depends on how you feel. My surgeon said as soon as I felt up to it. My surgery was open, I went back to work after two weeks and I believe it was about two weeks for my hubby and I. 1 xiomara8868 reacted to this

skinny_minnie_wannabe 30 Posted December 13, 2013 You can have sex when you are comfortable enough to do so. They say to be very gentle though and not to do anything too wild haha. Also it is important that you use birth control because you become very fertile after surgery. My doctor recommended not to plan pregnancy until at least 18 months past surgery date. Generally, I think it's about a year at least. If you become pregnant earlier, it can cause complications.
PittGuy 201 Posted December 14, 2013 I would wait at least 4 hours.
JSnyder05 2 Posted February 27, 2014 I am a month out and I still haven't had sex, my poor husband. I haven't for 3 reasons...1 I'm terrified I will hurt since I still have some discomfort, 2 I have now been on my period (first one in 17months) for almost 2 weeks, & 3 I'm scared I'll get pregnant. My surgeon says not to get pregnant for 18-24months because there could be some complications.

sleevemom88 217 Posted March 26, 2015 Agreed, I don't remember how long We waited but we just took it slow and steady to be sure it wouldn't be uncomfortable. As everyone said, be super careful and protected !
Josefina1210 12 Posted March 29, 2015 Just as soon as you're comfortable. My husband and I were together maybe 3 days later. Just be sure to be gentle
