You are very rude. This is a place to HELP ppl...and a lot of us fear the psych eval. Terri was simply showing us what to expect. I have read other posts that you have replied to and you aren't very nice or comforting. We are all in the same boat...different phases in the journey...but the same boat. Let's not belittle people for trying to help others. K. Thanks.

I really wasn't trying to hinder anyone's evaluation. I just wanted to ease some people's minds. I was so nervous this morning if I would have been able to see what might be some of the questions from someone who been there and done that I would have been more comfortable.

Girl...don't pay no mind to the negativity. You did a good thing. In no way could you possibly hinder anyone's eval by posting the questions. That's ridiculous to even think that way when there is no way to cheat on this kind of test. Some people just feel they are above others and know it all. What-ever...

No, some people just realize that sometimes even an action that is meant to be helpful can have unintended consequences and those consequences might put another person's surgery at risk.

I've seen this person on other posts and she's always so self righteous and rude. Trust me, we aren't the only ones that have noticed this. He/she belittles people and makes them feel awful. Sometimes people just need to reach out and know there's an ear listening....not a speech/lecture from someone that obviously feels they are perfect.

I guarantee if you were about to go in for your psych eval and stumbled on this post, you would have thanked Terri for posting the pictures....not try to make her feel like a fool.

i did not try to make Terri feel like a fool. I just cautioned her that her action may have unintended consequences. As for your nasty little cabal here tonight, you don't know me or my qualifications.

Nor do I care :-) what I do know is, you have offended many members on this forum and some to the point of considering leaving this forum. So sweetheart, it certainly can't just be the members in this post that have a problem with the way you conduct yourself.

Ps...Terri is a grown woman and certainly does not need nor want your "cautions". She's quite capable of making her own decisions without being policed by you. If the forum owner has a problem with terri's pictures, I'm sure he/she will notify her :-)

You're right... I don't know you or your "qualifications"... I think you're nothing but a troll that's looking to get a rise out of people and make them feel like shit... forums are full of them... but you also don't know me, my profession, or my qualifications ...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
