I had mine Sept 23rd. I have lost 31 pounds so far. I stall for a few days not loosing anything and I was told this is perfectly normal! A lot of it depends on your intake and your activity levels. I still am unable to get all my Fluid or Protein "goals" into me but I make sure to exercise! Your not alone! It will happen all in good time! Be patient and keep healthy. :)

You sound like me! :/ I'm down 20lbs & been the same for a week now! I'm trying not to worry about it, but it Sucks!! Unfortunately it's the first stall of many more to come... It's making me not want to eat anything! Planning to go for a walk tomorrow..

It's ok..I remember all to clearly being scared and in the same position where u are now. I knew I heard about stalls but didn't expect my 1st one so soon. It was right between week 4-5. I got so upset and thought it was over! Well

The good news is it wasn't and things got better. There will be times u stall and wanna scream and times when all of a sudden u realize u lost more than u thought! The last few months I got upset cause only lost 6-8 in the recent months then I realize all

Of a sudden I lost like 14 in a month! There were days/ weeks I lost nothing and then I put on my clothes and they were falling off of me. It's a weird journey at times where it doesn't always make sense but it's worth it! Hang in there and try not to get discouraged. Try to not let it frustrate u where u don't wanna eat Your body has a natural inclination to wanna hold on to things like its in starvation mode. Just wanted to give u some encouragement! This too shall pass and u are doing amazing!! Keep up the good work!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
