It could be a few things. I had a 5 week stall once. I was doing everything right. sometimes it just happens. But your body needs a certain amount of carbs in order to put the Protein to good use in your body. Try adding a little bit of carb by doing some complex carbohydrates and see if that helps.

Good Luck! I know its hard, but this is all about learning a balanced diet. I think we all go through the phase where we are afraid to eat carbs. It gets easier.

I have had countless stalls. Like you I do not eat bread, Pasta, starches. I do include veggies with my dinner. I live on premier choc shakes, Quest Protein bars, Greek yogurt, nuts, meat and select veggies. 70 + grams of Protein a day is a must for me.

How far out are you? 23 grams is very low but also depends on how far out you are. How are you doing on Water?

I'm not. Drinking a lot. Trying. Some times I get almost 4 bottles but a lot of times it 2 bottles a day. Warm Water makes me sick and it takes almost 3 hours to finish 1 bottle. I have to put sugar free kool aid in it. I'm trying every thing. And reading on everything.

I'm six months out and always have a premier choc shake for Breakfast. 30 grams of Protein 2 net carbs

If your Protein is not over 60gms a day you will not lose.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
