pattierie 6 Posted November 7, 2013 I was sleeved oct 23. Now eating about half cup potato Soup during the day. Is that too much? Fear of gaining weight back
clk 3,519 Posted November 7, 2013 Some people can eat that much of even denser food. All sleeves are not created equal - some people have no food issues and some people are plagued by them. I wouldn't worry too much as long as you're tracking your intake. It's more important to hit Protein goals, stay hydrated and eventually to find and keep a balanced nutritional profile that will continue giving results. ~Cheri
Under1star 19 Posted November 7, 2013 Stay away from white starches as they bring no nutrients to your body! Instead stick with colored veggies in the squash family! Proteins first as it will you up!
deejay1383837872 17 Posted November 7, 2013 My sleeve was on October 24th. I had an appointment with my nutritionist today. You are to be eating about 1/4 to 1/2 cup 5 times a day. 3 meals and 2 Snacks. My dinner tonite was 1 ounce chicken, 1 tablespoon rice and gravy pureed in a cup. That measures to about half a cup. You are right on track as far as I am concerned.
taylormomto6 74 Posted November 7, 2013 I was sleeved 10/24. I've been eating 2oz of puréed chicken (I'm in the puréed stage) and get full, but I get hungry in an hour or so. I know we can eat larger portions if liquidy type foods without getting full as fast and they pass through faster.
Fluffnomore 1,235 Posted November 9, 2013 Thanks for posting. I am also a 10/24 sleeve, and I'm on full liquids now. I can easily get in 600-700 calories per day with shakes, Soups, etc. and I get the sense from reading here that I might be eating too much. OTOH, I'm losing overall and hitting the Protein and liquids goals. It's so easy to obsess and I appreciate Cheri's note above. My main problem is that I keep forgetting that I should be shooting more for 4-6 oz of Soup, than 8. I guess I'm a slow learner, but I'm only now starting to figure out what's too much. It is still surprising to me when I start to feel those cues at under 4 oz. Every day is an adventure.
