SoCalMomOfFour 36 Posted November 6, 2013 I'm a few months away from my surgery and I'm fixated on the idea that I won't be able to chug Water. I'm freaked out about not being able to get in my water! Were you a water chugger? How did you deal? What is it like now?
BlessedBeyondMeasure2012 296 Posted November 6, 2013 I am a Water chugger. I was before surgery and I still am. For the first two weeks after surger I was instructed to sip sip sip. And I did. When I went in for my two week post op visit I was told to stop sipping and start DRINKING. I mean drink large quantities at time and then walk away from it. (I don't really know the reasoning behind this, it's just was I was told by my surgeon to do). Anyway, I don't chug like I used to but I can drink a 16 oz bottle of water in 5-10 minutes depending on how thirsty I am. I probably can drink 4 oz at a time comfortably. Don't worry, sipping wont be forever!!!
