You had the sleeve yesterday? Cut yourself some slack. It will get better. I haven't had any of the "usual" problems but maybe I am unusual. No pain, no dumping, no vomiting, did I mention NO PAIN. Just hang in there, it will get better!

It is just the anesthesia....it will go away. Some have it worse than others. I didn't have any nausea...and just lucky I guess. If you had your surgery yesterday, you haven't eaten yet so the nausea is due to the anesthesia.

I was sleeved yesterday also and did not get nausea until I tried sipping a Protein Shake then a bit after some chicken purée :( . My pain is manageable and I'm just looking forward to heal all my otter wounds so then I just have to concentrate in my inner healing. Best of luck to everyone!!!

You will get better. I didn't eat for 24 hours. I wanted to give my stomach a rest. Don't push it. It will get better on its own. It is so swollen from the surgery it is in rebellion! Good Luck! By the way, you will lose about a pound a day for the first month. Let that be your soothing thought for the day! YeHaaw!

I was sleeved on 11/5 the first day was a breeze, one of my nurses had the surgery, she gave me excellent advice, the second and third day would be the roughest. Funny thing is it seems to be true. I realized trying to get in all my fluids so I could be discharged caused me to vomit because I was rushing, now I'm more aware of my new tool. It will get better

Im actually doing pretty good. Today has been my best day. I am able to drink alot more, diff things too without nausea. I can bend and do pretty much everything myself at this point. I just try and take it slow when i drink to prevent vomiting and so far so good. Remember its hasnt even been a week yet, so give your body the time it needs:)

I'm trying everything slowly. I had a really bad time in hospital. First my iv infiltrated and my left arm was all swollen and red. Then i had an allergic reaction to one of the meds given to me. The right side of my face now has raised red whelps between my forehead and my earlobe. And because i received about 4 new meds that I've never had before i don't know which one caused it. i moved around a little better today. I go Wednesday to have the drain tube removed from my left side. Hopefully i will feel better after that.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
