moddd 79 Posted November 3, 2013 Hi guys! Well my surgeon's staff submitted my paperwork and for some reason not all of it went through when they faxed it to BCBS of California. Well I got a letter from BCBS today saying they need more info (which my dr called already and said they were taking care of it) but on that form it said type of surgery: gastric bypass. I have been very clear I would be wanting VSG. What happens now?? I have to wait till Monday to call them and of course I'm sick to my stomach over this!!! Has anyone heard if this or had this happen to them??? I'd appreciate any input!
QweenNique 44 Posted November 3, 2013 Mine said the same thing from Aetna and I called them and told them it wasn't right. I guess Aetna felt as though same difference which wasn't true because Aetna changed it but then said I would have to go home the same day. With bypass they let you stay for a few days. So make sure you call BCBS and your doctors office. Sent from my iPhone using VST
Arts137 1,811 Posted November 3, 2013 Yes, all my codes said gastric bypass, but it all worked out fine. Don't worry, have a great weekend and just call 'em Monday. :-)
