acubi2 33 Posted November 3, 2013 Has anyone else experienced hiccups? I have had really painful hiccups since surgery. And sometimes it feels like I have burps that are stuck. Its horrible and if anyone knows how to stop them please help! :-)
Someguy1383837857 18 Posted November 3, 2013 I was sleeved on the 31st. No hiccups but I have had the ball of air stuck in my throat painful feeling. I just force myself to burp some and it usually goes away.
spunkyirishpunk 29 Posted November 3, 2013 I was sleeved Oct 9 I didn't have hiccups. When you get the pocket of air try walking around it may help loosen up the air and allow you to burp I've had that a few times and it did help me.
nynewlywed 17 Posted November 3, 2013 Part of my recovery in the hospital was to get up and walk 4 laps around the entire floor every 2 hours. I got the hiccups during every walk. The nurses told me that was good because it was the gas coming out. If it is painful be sure to grab a pillow tightly around your stomach to keep everything from moving. When i had air caught i would walk and everytime i would put both arms up in the air (while walking) the gas would burp up. 1 acubi2 reacted to this
