Bruising - 3 week post op

Recommended Posts

I just noticed in the past few days I have unexplained bruising mostly on my legs and hips. I've been taking my multi Vitamin, B12 and D3. I've been afraid to take Iron because I'm having problems with being 'regular' and didn't want to complicate things. I'm still on liquids until Tuesday when I see my surgeon for my 3 week check up. I manage to get almost 70 grams of Protein in daily and almost 60oz of Water . What could it be?

You REALLY need to take that Iron. If you're low in iron, you will experience easy bruising, bleeding gums and/or nosebleeds.

Try gentle Iron, I have a problem taking regular Iron but this gentle iron doesn't make me sick.

[callchrissy"]What I'd like to know is how you are getting all that Water and Protein down??? Callchrissy.......25g powder protein with 8oz of 1% milk 8g if protein = 33g of protein twice a day plus a few oz of Greek yogurt brings me close to 70. Water is harder but my tummy really likes Luke warm Decaf tea, 16oz x 2 and the rest is struggle down w bottled water. Water is the hard one. That sums up my existence these last few weeks.
