PokeyJo 47 Posted November 2, 2013 Had started exercising in the pool at the gym this past week and was feeling really good.... until I got on the scale. I had only lost 1 lb. This morning, I tried on 3 pairs of jeans that have been hanging in my closet because it's been over a year since I could get into them. They fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My wonderful husband reminded me it's not always about the scale. I'm so happy and so lucky! 8 Firëfly, da1stladie, Beautyandbeyond and 5 others reacted to this
DestinClair1983 72 Posted November 2, 2013 Yay, congrats! Sometimes we get so fixated on the scale that we forget that there are other ways to measure our progress when the scales are being stubborn. 3 Firëfly, PokeyJo and da1stladie reacted to this
gmanbat 5,889 Posted November 2, 2013 Jeans trump the scale. Muscle can be up, fat down, and the scale pronounces failure. You are winning. 3 Beautyandbeyond, da1stladie and PokeyJo reacted to this
sittingpretty64 7 Posted November 3, 2013 Amen. I went in for my six month check up and was told I was not where I needed to be. Guess what, I was fine with that. I have went form a size 26 to a size 16. So guess what, it is okay. Highest weight 272 lbs, at appointment 229 lbs. This is with me being on monthly girly visit. One nurse told me we have to get you back on track and one said, if you don't lose another pound it is okay considering you have not been this weight in over twenty years. Today, about three weeks after appointment, now 196 lbs. They don't everything. They are skinny in the office, without weight loss surgery. Took it with grain of salt. 1 PokeyJo reacted to this
Firëfly 39 Posted November 3, 2013 I do that all the time -- have a stall on the scale but lose inches. Keep up the good work -- that's awesome! 1 Beautyandbeyond reacted to this
