You reap what you sow.

I try to get advice/opinions/thoughts from members of this site who have had surgery and been successful. I really do not think I'm qualified to hand out advice, as my surgery is 3 weeks away. I have posted to treads about which I have experience....protein shakes, insurance hoops, etc. Just my thoughts. I wish success to all!

Here's some more food. You just cast the entire 50' date='000 plus membership here as spineless sheeple who check the likes leaders before they dare to confront. Did it occur to you that a high likes number could possibly indicate a great deal of caring and support given over an extended period of time? The people I believe you are referring to earned their popularity by answering the same questions with compassion over and over and over. The popular kids in High School many times worked hard to achieve. Then we had the lazy butts like me who would rather criticize and slander than pitch in and help. It is not a matter of popularity, it is a matter of earned respect.[/quote'] Really didn't know it was that serious. I thought we were all here to support each other-didn't know there was a rank and file system. Let's not act naive about the popular high school kids. Most of them did nothing to "earn" their popularity.

Sweet baby jeezus on a mountain top.

Butter, this sounds a lot like the lady, or was it a man, that was flirting with countryabs (I can't remember her name). Hmmm...I'm beginning to wonder if that was really you who made a fake account pretending to be her! Hmmmm...very interesting indeed!

You brought popularity up as a factor in responses, not me. There is no rank and file system, please don't project your delusions on me.

My High School had quite a number of kids who were not rich, beautiful, promiscuous, athletic, or overly intelligent but yet well loved by students and faculty. They achieved it by friendliness and a willingness to serve. If your experience was contrary you have my sympathy.

Real mature that some people hijack this thread and fill it full of mindless bs in order to drown out the original posters message. People acting like a bunch of petulant highschoolers should be ashamed of themselves. Frankly I think the OP was giving that other person a dose of tough love. So go back under your bridges trolls and stop bringing the community down to your level.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
