Hello....Earth to Sherri Jo....I gave you the nicest, most agreeable response of anyone. Here it is...

I read the book quite recently (Bill and Hillary, the Marriage). I think it's pretty accurate. I could not find anything, anywhere that would indicate the author had a political ax to grind. But if you read the WHOLE thing, you will see that he had many positive, flattering things to say about Hillary, as well.She disliked the manner in which the Arkansas State Troopers guarded her person....and she minced no words about it. She felt smothered. But they weren't exactly charm school grads, either. One told her (and I'm paraphrasing here), "As far as I'm concerned, you are the property of the State of Arkansas and I'm going to guard you MY way.

I'm a good Catholic girl myself and I don't use the kind of language that has been attributed to Hillary. Never said the "F word" in my entire life, or the "CS word", etc. I had a mother who always had a bar of soap handy and an older brother who served as an excellent reminder of how unpleasant the consequences were. But I'm not going to cast my vote based on whether a candidate swears or not. Where, first of all, do you find one that doesn't? Richard Nixon, the Watergate tapes proved, had a mouth like a sewer. LBJ? Ditto. Also JFK. And I'll bet George uttered a few choice words when he opened up the paper and saw that his daughters were caught drinking in an Austin bar with fake IDs.

Sherri Jo, please dial back the vitriol a little. Rants & Raves is an off-topic debate area, and it's par for the course when someone starts a thread to get debate back at them. There is nothing personal about it.

To correct any misimpressions: No, the moderators can't read PMs (or are you talking about Alex the owner? I'm sure he could if he were so inclined, but I assure you, he's not). And no, I never send PMs "warning" people about anything. What exactly did you mean by that?

Personally, I was also invited to b2g when they first started the site. Sherry Jo, if you want to hang out there, that is wonderful. However, I checked in over there and see that you were originally there too, but got mad at something people said there and left until you got mad at things that were said here and have now gone back. Are you going to just keep bouncing back and forth depending upon who has offended you at the time?

I think both boards are nice. If you want nothing but fluff, love and talk about cheese, then the other board may be the better home for you. If you enjoy giving and receiving help and support on the lapband, and enjoy having a forum in which you can have intelligent debate about real-life issues such as politics, war, abortion, religion, etc. with the friends you have made during your band journey, then LBT is the board for you. Personally, I enjoy reading all the debates. I am not particularly politically savvy, so I don't usually join in on those debates, but I have sure have learned a lot from them. Most of the conversations I see have been very intelligent, analytical, civil debates with little or no attack on personal individuals. In fact, the most attacking I have seen have been your responses to a post you put in the rant and raves section, in which you were offended because people responded in a non-obtrusive, intelligent manner to what you had posted, and were right to do so based upon the forum it was in. However, you then responded in a very immature way. I don't care what your education is, that has nothing do with one's ability to act and react in a mature, adult and responsible manner. Throwing a temper tantrum, saying you are leaving, then coming back and saying you refuse to leave and telling us how wonderful another board is and how they all warned you about LBT, etc., etc., was responding in a manner in which I personally found to be very grade school like.

Hey all.

As the owner of b2g, I want to state for the record that I do not want my site to be used in comparison to LBT. LBT is an excellent support site and that is where this discussion should be focused.

Different people like different things. I do not condone any negative connotations ascribed to LBT and I formally request that all references to other sites be left out as it has no pertinence to this forum.

If an individual is dissatisfied with the operation of any forum they should leave and stop attempting to cause trouble, for the sake of causing trouble. Individuals who arrive at b2g and then remain here with the sole purpose of causing trouble and trying to bring my forum into the mix, will find themselves unwelcome (probably at either location).

The world is big enough for many forums and support structures.

Dawg, please don't put your nose into my business please. We all know why I left B2g, I straight, hetrosexual, and you know what I mean too, so don't go and try and deny it. I went and copied 126 pages of stuff said so I have it to refer to so don't think for one minute I not ahead of the game. You can sweet talk Alex all you like, I was there, I read it and I know what went on. I have withdrawn from both sites, good luck, because there are several people who've left both forums because of all of the politics and burea crap and all they wanted was help with band surgery.
