jdmama911 224 Posted November 2, 2013 By Thanksgiving I will be 10 weeks out and I'll have a little bit of turkey' date=' some green bean casserole and a tiny dollop of mashed taters.[/quote'] That's my plan as well lol
Peggy 53 69 Posted November 2, 2013 (edited) I will be 2 and a half weeks out on Thanksgiving and my NUT told me to make all day Thanksgiving dinner. I have to eat five meals' date=' so I am to make one smashed sweet potatoes, one turkey blended with broth, one mashed potatoes and gravy, etc. She even said I could have one spoonful of the center of the pumpkin pie.[/quote'] Good luck! You'll be doing good to have any of it. At two and a half weeks it was shakes and yogurt for me. My belly didn't want anything like that. Heck, I'm 9 weeks out and I'm doing good to get thru tuna fish. In fact I'm having yogurt for supper..... And with that meal plan, how are you going to get in your 60 gms of Protein? Beach Lover 1,084 Posted November 2, 2013 I am 4 1/2 months post op and will try a little of everything that I want. Maybe just a bite of the stuffing though.....bread still makes me nervous. Sounds like I will eat a ton but in actuality it will be a bite or 2 of this and that. can't wait!

BethinPA 305 Posted November 2, 2013 I did it last year - I was 4 weeks out. Don't worry - it's not that bad! I just enjoyed sitting at the table and being part of things with my family.

Peggy 53 69 Posted November 14, 2013 No one mentioned cranberry sauce or black olives which are my fave!!!. Cranberry sauce.... You mean sugar with cranberries right? And as for black olives....actually contain good fats, but a bit salty.
