That's very sad. Whataburger is usually quite good. However, personally I like In 'n Out more, and Dan's Hamburgers in the Austin area. And green chile cheeseburgers pretty much anywhere here in New Mexico.

Tookies in Kemah used to be on some list for the 10 best burgers in America. They ground up bacon into the beef. The pattie came out a little on the purple side but tasted like bacon heaven crash landed in your mouth.

Ok I'll peruse the forums and see if I can dig something up...

But in the meantime a shameless plug of my family hike and mushroom hunt :D

What a great way to enjoy family time. You have a beautiful family.

I would feel remiss if I did not point out that the thread marked "enabling" is full of drooling food porn talk. In all seriousness, is that what we want to talk about? and besides, don't burger and fries make you feel kinda ill?

Since Butter is telling on Mrs Butter, Ill tell on Mrs Junkie. She dips her Wendy's fries in the Frosty. No ketchup needed.....

I don't know if they'd make ill for real, but the thought of eating them does actually make me ill Zero desire to try that. It kinda doesn't even seem like real food after what I eat now.

Wendy's fries + Frosty = good. Judgy Junkie = bad.

The original topic hasn't popped up much in about 30-40 pages. NTTAWWT.

My husband looks over says mushrooms.....mmmm lol morals are our favorites. Sadly I cant/wont eat them now smothered in butter, egg and ritz :( depressing I tell ya

I love morels fried in butter. We used to live on a farm in Indiana and they grew all over our land. Several times we caught trespassers stealing them. They are expensive to buy at the markets!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
