Squirrels are huge assholeds.

My 4yo calls squirrels "tree skunks." I refuse to correct her because of all the cuteness.

;)

So of course this year, I'm wondering if it's worth paying $40 a piece so that Roger and I can have half a sausage each . No more big huge plates of meat for him and no flan for me.

.

You deserve the whole sausage gamergirl ;)

The only family I have here is what I married, gave birth to, and adopted. And the four of us absolutely adore each other. Our idea of a good time is to hang out on our computers and play minecraft off the same server, watch movies, stay in our PJs all day, cook and feed the kids, and for T'giving, we out to a Brazilian restaurant. It's a family tradition.

So of course this year, I'm wondering if it's worth paying $40 a piece so that Roger and I can have half a sausage each :D. No more big huge plates of meat for him and no flan for me.

But I can't WAIT for this Saturday because we'll all be home together and a week of utter sloth will commence.

Your Thanksgiving sounds like our Christmas...except we order Chinese take out :x

OK - looking on a map...

I've been to the States a couple of times. Once to Des Moines Iowa on a school exchange (First time I ever saw MacDonalds). Then a couple of times, just passing through. And in July, I went to Hawaii for some sun. Oh, it was lovely!

At Christmas we usually have a barbeque - me and my grown up kids, and their spouses and their kids. 11 of us so far. We started out with 4 of us in NZ in 1986, but since then we've procreated!!! (See how polite I am)

I grew up in upstate NY and every member of my family has hit a deer with their car (except me.)

The code for that is "Oh, sh*t…sorry Bambi."

I've been to Auckland and they definitely have McDonalds. How come you had to go to the US to see it! By the way, New Zealand is my favorite country, and the Bay of Islands is my favorite bit.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
