Pre Diet Touchy Subject

My doctor just told me what to have on the pre diet. I bought the Protein Drink he suggested, muscle milk. I don't start the diet till next week but I tried one today. Oh my gosh!!!! I have the worst gas. Any suggestions? I can't live 10 days like this!!!

Yup! Lactaid pills. You are lactose intolerant. Take 1-2 with your first shake and you will be fine. You can get them anywhere just over the counter.

I heard whey Protein Powder causes bad gas. Something to do with the bacteria in your gut.

It could be a lactose intolerance or check the Protein source, or both.

Protein Drinks of any kind cause horrible gas with some people. I am one of those lucky such people. Poor family

More power to you that you even got one of these god awful drinks down. I just tried one tonight for the first time. One little itty bitty sip and I wanted to puke. It tasted like children's flavored medicine mixed in thick vanilla milk. I have never tasted anything that bad in a long long time.
