Hello, First of all, who is General Gastric Sleeve and what branch of the military is that? xD Secondly, I'd like to know the risks and the costs? What kind of complications have people experienced? And what do you have to give up...or start doing, like eating 6 tiny meals a day, or taking supplements, etc? Let's try this; what do you like the most and what do you like the least? Sock it to me.

Just review the posts in the many threads... there are answers to most of your questions. And ask or comment away.

I was covered by insurance, but even so had over $1,000 in out of pocket expenses.

I had an easy surgery and recovery.

The sleeve helps but you still have to get and stay in control. You eat small meals focused on Proteins and veggies. While some say they can eat "everything, just in small amounts", I can't because I know I am a food junkie.

I am almost 5 months from surgery and 100 pounds less than my highest weight and 45 pounds less than my weight at surgical date. I average from 1 to 3 pounds loss a week, and yes we ALL have times when we stall and don't lose weight.

I was also covered by insurance. My co-pay was $200.00. I was in the hospital 3 days / 2 nights.

My pro`s for the surgery are endless. My dislikes are few.... and mainly it is not food related... it is dealing with people responses. That can get awkward. Other than that my quality of life makes it worth it!

Best Wishes to you! Tina

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
