5 Weeks Out, How Many Calories

Recommended Posts

So I'm 5 weeks out and I feel that my calories are on the high side. What is everyone else at?

I've lost 36 lbs so far and I'm at 600-800 calories per day. I eat 2oz. of food every two hours. I guess I just want to know if I'm on tract.

You sound perfect to me! That's exactly where my NUT wants me at 5 weeks.

Very reassuring! I see so many different #'s out there, ranging from 400-900. I was on the high end and I'm in a plateau right now so I didn't know if the increased calories were stalling the weight loss.

Thanks everyone! I feel better.

Each doctor is different. My NUT and my surgeon's office are totally different. In totally different city's and in there range for most everything else. So I try to stay in the middle of them both lol :)

I am 6 weeks after surgery and the scale has finally moved after stalling for 2 weeks. I am at 34 lbs. My surgeon says to eat only if you are hungry, but first drink Water, wait 15 minutes and if still hungry, eat protein... up to 6oz. a day. He says you only eat when hungry, and at this point he has not said anything about calories. I go back to him in 2 weeks when he will discuss the next phase.
