sadfat1962 11 Posted October 30, 2013 I've been having very blurry vision for the past month, I am a little over 3 months out. My vision was fine before surgery... But now, really starting to freak me out- even as I type this!! Anyone experience this after surgery? It has seriously been one thing after another, I don't know how much more I can take. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!! I'm so scared.

sadfat1962 11 Posted October 30, 2013 Yes, my BP is good, had it checked today. Had some bloodwork done too, I was thinking maybe I am hypoglycemic or have hypothyroidism because of all my symptoms. Fatigue, blurry vision, shakiness, can't sleep, confused and lathargic.. I've never felt good since day one. And I am tired of it all. I really do not know how much more I can take. This blurry vision really has me scared.
Madam Reverie 2,958 Posted October 31, 2013 How much are you eating? Are you eating regularly enough? I find if I don't eat every 2.5 hours, I'm the same way. I'd introduce a small amount of trail mix to chomp on.. Good quality, low GI, blood sugar stabilising stuff.

I'm so scared. are you taking anything for nausea? scopalamine Patches are nasty regarding vision...mine was blurred and it took several weeks for me to figure it out. i thought that the 7 weeks in the hospital OR my age changed my vision, but it was a medication. just something to think about...keep us posted! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
MandaPanda 173 Posted October 31, 2013 I have been having blurry vision as well. Went to an ophthalmologist last week and did a bunch of testing. Everything looks normal so he said I should take 400 mg of magnesium a day and it has helped. 2 sadfat1962 and Frustr8 reacted to this
gomekast 559 Posted October 31, 2013 Certain nausea meds cause blurry vision. Are you still taking any regularly? 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
sadfat1962 11 Posted October 31, 2013 Thank you all for the replies., I really appreciate you all. I don't take any pain meds, just my vit, Iron and B12 shot. I guess I will have to wait to get blood tests back... I keep praying I will wake up and my vision will be back to normal 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

TW Post op 1 Posted October 26, 2019 I’m a week plus after surgery and noticed a difference in my eye sight on day 3. I am near sighted and wear glasses 🤓. Normally I can use my glasses to see near and far, but now I need to take my glasses off to see up close. It’s driving me nuts, glasses on and off all day. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
levinme 15 Posted November 2, 2019 I was going to post something similar. I am also three months out from VSG and have noticed that I am starting to have issues reading things. It could totally be coincidental as I'm 45 so I'm not really freaking out about it and I don't have any other symptoms but I did notice a change in my vision in the last few weeks.
