lynchdalynx 21 Posted October 30, 2013 hey! I also was sleeved on 10/28.; I also am experiencing the cramping when I drink. Because of this I'm struggling to get the Fluid I'm supposed to be getting in. They keep saying it'll get better, but WHEN! This hurts! 2 Mon22 and italiana926 reacted to this

Roo101769 742 Posted October 30, 2013 Won't lie to you folks, first week is probably the hardest. (unless there are complications) Nothing you won't get through, but it is tough. I was sleeved 10/21. I started feeling somewhat better by 10/24. Still have occasional left side twinge and I'm tired. But I am back at work and dealing with it. Just take one day at a time and do what the doctor says! FieryRed 55 Posted October 30, 2013 N so much pain still. And cramps up on Water alone. Been walking. Just hope I improve soon You're not drinking PLAIN Water, are you? If you are, then that's the reason for your cramping. For some yet-to-be-be-figured-out reason, plain water is NOT tolerated for the first few weeks, post-op for most folks. Try adding a squeeze of lemon or my favorite was the wealth of flavors of the Mio water enhancers in the little squeeze bottles. I'm 2 weeks post-op today and can tolerate plain water just fine, but not recommended to even try for the first week! Hope this helps.
gomekast 559 Posted October 30, 2013 I'm 8 days post op and drink plenty of Water. Have since I woke up from surgery. Hang in there..I turned a corner around day 5-6. I had to eat lots of Jello a few days just to get in my liquids for a few days.
