Sweet Pee 349 Posted November 3, 2013 I can eat more tan the two ounces but I try not to because I can feel overly full. I feel like I am stretching my poor little pouch so I'm going back to measuring. Also I drink a full 8 oz of Water 30 min before I eat. That helps with my Portion Control. Good luck Hun! Good advice for me too. Thanks!
gamergirl 4,610 Posted November 3, 2013 What a great thread! I love that the three of you can support each other and do this together. It gives me hope for when I will no doubt be posting something similar in the future. 2 teamskinny_keea and Sweet Pee reacted to this

Seela 1,187 Posted November 4, 2013 Refined sugar is not a natural substance for our bodies to ingest. So when we eat it it becomes an addiction like drugs. The more we eat of it the more we want it and are less satisfied with complex carbs. If you want to get the rest off and you find you are eating the wrong Snacks you may think about detoxing yourself again...That means no sugar and you will feel withdrawal..It will be uncomfortable for sure... Removing the sugar from your house or other tempting Snacks helps a lot.....Some people don't have a problem with sweets or junk food...If you do that is your nemesis.... Switch your snacks to nuts and fruit 1/4 of a cup...Get the Protein in first at meals...It will start to settle down I promise...You will be back on the journey in no time.. Remember that this is a journey not a sprint..... Turn your love for food into a goal of only eating the very best of anything..read labels and count protein..It can get as challenging as giving up sugar....But so worth it! You can do this...Today is a new day and it is yours for the taking..... This advise is perfect... you can do this! 1 teamskinny_keea reacted to this

natmo2431 9 Posted November 4, 2013 I have posted this elsewhere but want to share it with you just incase it applies to your troubles. If you have ever had allergies with post nasal drip, be sure to take your antihistamines. At ~1 1/2 months post surgery, I got ravenously "hungry". I could not get full and wanted to eat all day long. Turns out it was only that I had a tummy full of drip (sorry that is pretty gross) that my stomach was grinding on. As soon as I treated my allergies the "hunger" went away. I suspect this is not your problem but it is such a simple solution if it might be. Why not try it? Thank you for posting this! I am about three months out and have had "intense hunger cravings" and read your post and realized that my sinus infection (that I had for 5 weeks and went through 3 antibiotics for) might be the culprit behind it. I take a 24 hour allergy pill every day but was still having that drip happening, so now I am taking a nasal decongestant along with benadryl when I get home (can't sleep at my desk at work unfortunately) and have gotten the hunger under control. feedyoureye 3,087 Posted November 5, 2013 We all have bumps in the road, and practicing getting over them will make us strong into the future. When we get to goal, we are really just starting the rest of the process, which lasts a lifetime! You guys are doing great, coming here and talking it out and getting advice. The friends I have made here have helped me so much over the last 3 years. I still have about 2 pounds to get to goal after all this time, and I know I will get there soon. The setbacks I have had, and worked through, have given me strength to keep on going, and doing what I need to do to stay on track through maintenance. One step at a time. Like someone here said earlier, one day at a time. I actually gained 22 pounds at one point after surgery, and have finally gotten it all off. We can do it. Best of luck to you all. 1 gamergirl reacted to this

feedyoureye 3,087 Posted November 5, 2013 I use the 5:2 method... but if what you are doing is working, I say stay with it! Later on down the road if things slow down or stop before you want them to, check into the 5:2. Its a two day a week reduced calorie fast (500cals) regular eating the other days (I eat around 1200-1500 a day on the normal days) I have gotten off over 20 pounds that way.
